While installing a new newel post for a client, we realized there was a lot of unused space underneath the stair case that could be utilized. The client wanted a pull-out draw for extra storage of shoes and dog leads. The design was a simple shaker’esk type draw face with long draw hardware to accommodate the deep design. We chose to stick with a MDF design to keep costs down and to allow for a quick turnaround.
